This self-centering, 3-jaw micro chuck is ideal for holding small projects from the inside or outside with its reversible step jaws. With a gripping range from 0" - 2.5" in diameter it is great for small to medium projects that require precision holding for repeatable and consistent engraving. Pin Table

The Universal Pin Table is designed to eliminate certain scorch marks and other defects which may occur when cutting acrylic, wood or other sensitive materials using conventional laser cutting tables. By using specially coated aluminum pins to elevate the material being processed, the Universal Pin Table greatly reduces the amount of laser energy reflected back into the material from the table surface.

Honeycomb Cutting Table

This accessory provides a raised platform of honeycomb material to support materials for cutting applications. Exhaust smoke and fumes are removed from above and below the material being cut, keeping the material clean and producing better cuts.

Air Assist with Optics Protection

Air Assist with Optics Protection extends the life of your focus lenses by protecting them from the smoke, debris, or flames generated by laser processing.

While Universal's focus lenses are designed for durability and ease of use, no optics are invulnerable. If an errant flame or a piece of ejected material strikes the focus lens, the lens may crack and need to be replaced at a cost of several hundred dollars. Air Assist with Optics Protection significantly reduces this risk by blowing compressed air onto the work surface, suppressing flames and blowing smoke and debris away. The compressed air keeps potentially damaging particulates at a safe distance from the focus lens.

In addition to the optics protection benefits, Air Assist with Optics Protection can provide superior processing results on some materials, preventing melt-back and ensuring cut edges are smooth and polished. Air Assist with Optics Protection is available in standard and computer-controlled versions. The computer controlled version turns on and off automatically and adjusts the airflow rate based on the job being run.

Air Assist Cone

The Cone accessory attaches to the carriage for use in air-assisted applications. It directs compressed air along the beam path (coaxially) and onto the material.

Collimator

Also known as a beam expander, the Collimator expands and collimates the beam to minimize divergence and provide an unchanging focal spot across the engraving field. This results in more consistent cutting and engraving from one corner of the engraving field to the other. Required for HPDFO

Pass Through

True Class 4 Material Pass-Through Mode – This patented accessory, available on ILS laser systems, provides the safety features necessary to convert the laser system into an open Class 4 laser device. This is accomplished by overriding the laser safety interlocks on the side doors of certain Universal laser systems, allowing the user to process continuous rolls of material or objects that are too large to fit entirely on the work surface. When operating an open laser system, extra safety features not normally required for fully enclosed laser systems must be present in order to legally and safely operate the laser system.

The patented Pass-Through Class 4 Module allows for switching from CDRH Class 1 to CDRH Class 4 to accommodate oversized work pieces.

Camera Registration

Universal’s Camera Registration features a camera mounted inside the laser system that locates and determines the exact positions of registration marks on printed materials. Software adjusts to a predefined cut path to fit the material.
