Our exclusive line of patented CO2 Free-Space Gas Slab Lasers is designed specifically for the needs of laser cutting, engraving, graphic imaging and marking applications. Our lasers produce an excellent quality beam with even power distribution and good near and far field characteristics. We design and manufacture all of our lasers, which range in power from 10W to 75W. Each laser cartridge is precision-aligned prior to shipment and can be easily interchanged with cartridges of differing power.

Universal Laser Systems Laser Sources – At Universal Laser Systems we manufacture our own proprietary line of patented CO2 lasers designed specifically for the needs of laser cutting, engraving, graphic imaging and marking applications. Because we manufacture the lasers as well as the systems, the lasers are designed to perfectly complement the laser systems. This results in innovative, exclusive features such as pre-aligned laser sources, Rapid Reconfiguration™ and smart laser technology. The patented design of Universal's lasers is based on a free space laser with a multi-pass slab resonator. The free space (non-waveguide) design allows the beam to form inside the laser with no significant interaction with the interior walls of the laser tube. This produces an excellent quality beam with even power distribution and good near and far field characteristics. Because the quality of the laser beam is consistent over the entire work area, this type of laser is ideal for material processing. The unique multi-pass slab design replicates the beam multiple times within the laser, producing the power of a much longer laser in a compact package with excellent mode and beam quality. Manufacturing our own lasers also positions us to give you the best service possible when a laser needs recharging. We recharge our own lasers and keep a stock of recharged lasers for quick shipment, maximizing laser system up-time. Recharging lasers in–house provides another benefit: the lowest recharge cost in the industry.
