BULLETIN TO ROLAND ENGRAVING SYSTEMS USERS – END OF LIFE PRODUCTS
Some models of engraving systems, EGX30 and EGX350 etc, have been announced by Roland DGA as becoming “End Of Life”: products.

We have seen several older systems fail to operate using their standard software such as Dr. Engrave. Typically this happens after a Windows update in the computer.
We have seen this not only on rotary engraving systems but also on laser engravers and some digital printing devices. Some times the user is able to correct the problem by backing out the Windows update but this is not always possible.
We have mostly experienced issues with the machine software driver and when we tried re-installing the machine still did not work. Unfortunately a reasonable solution has not been established at this point in time.
We have been successful when we used alternative software such as Engravelab as this has it’s operating system and will run the engraver without going through the machine manufacturers software.
As the older EGX models are no longer being updated, we don’t have a solution other than to utilize alternative software products.
We regret this measure may not conform to your desires but we are unable to circumvent the problem in any other way.
