AIR ASSIST WITH OPTICS PROTECTION

AIR ASSIST WITH OPTICS PROTECTION

Air Assist with Optics Protection extends the life of your focus lenses by protecting them from the smoke, debris, or flames generated by laser processing.
While Universal’s focus lenses are designed for durability and ease of use, no optics are invulnerable. If an errant flame or a piece of ejected material strikes the focus lens, the lens may crack and need to be replaced at a cost of several hundred dollars. Air Assist with Optics Protection significantly reduces this risk by blowing compressed air onto the work surface, suppressing flames and blowing smoke and debris away. The compressed air keeps potentially damaging particulates at a safe distance from the focus lens.
In addition to the optics protection benefits, Air Assist with Optics Protection can provide superior processing results on some materials, preventing meltback and ensuring cut edges are smooth and polished. Air Assist with Optics Protection is available in standard and computer-controlled versions. The computer controlled version turns on and off automatically and adjusts the airflow rate based on the job being run.

FEATURES

Universal Laser Sources

Our exclusive line of patented CO2 Free-Space Gas Slab Lasers is designed specifically for the needs of laser cutting, engraving, graphic imaging and marking applications.

Laser Interface+™

The world’s most advanced, powerful and flexible laser print driver for material processing systems. Laser Interface+ is a materials-based print driver that gives you the choice of automatic or manual control over power, speed, pulses per inch and other system settings. Laser Interface+, combined with the Universal Control Panel (UCP), gives you complete control over your laser processing system.

High Power Density Focusing Optics™

These optics allow the laser beam to be focused to a much smaller spot, producing sharper images at tighter tolerances.

1-Touch Laser Photo™

We developed this software to make any photographic image suitable for laser engraving. Simply select your target material from a list and 1-Touch Laser Photo will determine the appropriate contrast, filter and grayscale levels and calculate the ideal laser speed and power settings. Then engrave the image onto your material at the touch of a button.
